THE Zanzibar Deputy Minister for Education and Vocational Training, Ms Zahra Ali Hamad, has said that poor performance in examinations is due to lavishness.
"Most of you now love luxurious lives instead of concentrating in studying. Time for exams is when students rush to read, for them to pass exams," said Hamad at a short ceremony held to commend the few students from Chambani School in Pemba who performed well in last year's national examinations.
