Algeria: Trial of Activist 'Yusuf Dada' Adjourned Till Next September

Cairo: — Ghardaia Court yesterday, August 19, postponed the case of activist "Youssef Dada" to the 1st of September 2014. Activist "Yusuf Dada" was arrested on 27 March 2014 for shooting a video about three police men during their involvement in a robbery. Last June, he was sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of 100٫000 Dinar over allegations about shooting a video that represents "prejudice to the national interest". The verdict was challenged and a hearing was convened yesterday, during which the case adjourned to September 1.
