CONSERVATION is key to Namibia's tourism industry. That is why the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) decided to have its 10th Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) in Namibia this year.
The efforts to set tourism on the foundation of conservation is apparent, considering that nearly half of the country - that is over 350 000 square kilometres - is within a conservation area, (which includes the 70 conservancies).
