The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has flagged off its 150th anniversary celebrations with a call for more volunteers.
Michael Nataka, the secretary general of Uganda Red Cross, made the call on Monday, explaining that the ICRC had been involved in re-uniting families separated by the civil war in northern Uganda, and providing humanitarian relief to those hit by natural disasters.
