Sumbawanga — NKASI District in Rukwa Region has succeeded to reduce HIV infection rate from 17 to 3.1 per cent, a landmark for the past seven years , which should be upheld and sustained, Nkasi District Commissioner Mr Iddy Kimanta has said.
The DC further noted that the efforts should be strengthened to ensure the virus is eliminated completely in the district . Mr Kimanta made such a call in Sumbawanga municipality recently to reporters when he was highlighting on the impressive achievement recorded on implementation of series of development projects in the district for the past seven years.
